As the saying goes: “Where there was fire, there are ashes.” This expression is widely used to refer to the fact that when a couple cuts off their relationship, however bad they end up, there will always be something left. And this is the case of Prince Charles, who had an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles in 1971. Years later the couple broke up and each re-died their sentimental life. Although she always kept the flame alive.
She accepted it.
Lady Diana knew of the existence of her husband Charles’ relationship with Camilla. He knew it from the beginning and knew they were still in touch and that they both still felt something. She, far from enraging and crying, did the opposite. Diana was a woman of arms to take and even went so far as to declare to the BBC that in her marriage there were three of them and that that was already a crowd. Diana was by no use an ignorant innocent.
