They didn’t start on a good footing.
Catherine and Meghan had both become part of the English Royal Family. Everyone was watching for them and they wanted to see if the two women would fit into the nobility as neither of them came from royal families. But above all they were aware of them because they did not know whether the two women would get along or there would be discrepancies between them, since their formation and provenance were absolutely different.
They couldn’t stand it.
When Meghan arrived in the Royal Family it was not a good time for Catherine, she was pregnant with her third child, Luis, had two other young children and many institutional obligations, was going through a very stressful situation and had no time for anything else and much less to help Meghan, that stranger who had suddenly come to the family asking for attention all the time. Meghan even asked Catherine for help in guiding her and Catherine flatly refused.
